A new five-year sales tax sharing agreement, approved by the Ulster County Legislature, will increase funding to the county's towns. County Executive Jen Metzger and Kingston Mayor Steve Noble negotiated the agreement, which the Kingston Common Council endorsed on February 3. The deal takes effect March 1, 2026.
